Care by
design:

Access and
accessibility
We know people in areas with more primary care doctors live longer, healthier lives.
A lack of consistent access to these providers
Provider shortage: There is a marked shortage of primary care practitioners in the United States. This includes not only doctors but nurse practitioners and physician assistants that can provide personalized and long-term care for aging adults. And this problem is growing, especially in rural areas and cities experiencing population growth.
Cost: A 2025 Gallup survey found the percentage of U.S. adults who say they are unable to pay for necessary healthcare or medicine hit an all-time high of 11% in 2024. In fact, 57% of adults with incomes less than $48,000 answered “no” when asked, “if you needed access to quality healthcare today would you be able to afford it”.
Other barriers to care: There are countless reasons older adults may have difficulty accessing regular care. Many no longer drive and may rely on others or public transit, which isn't always available or convenient. Additionally, hearing and vision loss can make communication frustrating and physical changes can make simply getting in the building difficult. Navigating the healthcare system is also often confusing, and seniors may struggle to understand referrals or access specialists. All these unique challenges lead to delayed and fragmented care with worse outcomes over time.

Elevating
how we care:

Newly launched
chronic disease
management – nurses
Many seniors live with chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, heart disease, or COPD. A nurse trained specifically in managing these conditions can help optimize treatment plans, personalize care, and work to reduce frequent hospital readmissions.
From medication management to emotional support, these professionals play a crucial role in helping our members stay healthy and active.
Over the past year, our nursing teams have strengthened care coordination, improved follow-up after hospital visits, and empowered members to better manage their conditions day to day. By focusing on timely education and consistent communication, nurses have helped reduce avoidable complications and boosted members' confidence in their wellness plans.
Looking ahead, we're investing in even more nurse-led programs and expanding training to address the growing needs of adults living with chronic conditions. By deepening these connections, we aim to continue improving outcomes, lowering hospital readmissions, and ensuring every member receives the compassionate, personalized care they deserve.
Pink Letter Project
& Super Mammogram Order

For three years, ArchWell Health centers have sent thousands of personalized letters to female members who are due for their annual mammogram.
Each letter includes a reminder to schedule their screening, a list of nearby centers, and an order form to hand to the front desk at their appointment.
In 2025, we set out to make the process even smoother. If you've ever received an abnormal test result, you know the days — or sometimes weeks — of anxiety that can follow. That's why ArchWell Health's clinical leadership created the Super Mammogram Order.
This initiative allows women to book their diagnostic screening right away, without waiting for approval from their doctor or insurance. It removes unnecessary anxiety, cuts down on paperwork, and gives members faster access to the answers and care they need.

Pharmacy
Services

Meeting the needs of older adults means finding new ways to remove barriers and deliver care that's not only high quality, but accessible.
That's exactly what Man-Khoi Nguyen, Director of Clinical Pharmacy, has set out to do since joining the ArchWell Health team.
"I'm passionate about helping our members remove barriers to accessing medications and collaborating with our providers for pharmaceutical care solutions," he says.
To that end, this experienced ArchWell Health pharmacist (and classically trained violinist!) has been instrumental in designing a solution that helps members receive their medications more easily, via mail-order pharmacy.
For many older adults, managing chronic conditions depends on consistent, timely access to prescriptions. But for those facing mobility challenges, fixed incomes or limited pharmacy access, staying on top of medications can become a real struggle. That's where Man-Khoi's work in building ArchWell Health's pharmacy program comes in.
"Medication adherence plays a big role in helping our members stay active and healthy, but we knew that things like transportation and cost were getting in the way," he says. "Mail order presented an opportunity to solve for both."
Of course, introducing a new solution is not without its challenges. Man-Khoi had to build trust and show the benefits of mail-order pharmacy — especially for those who were accustomed to traditional pickup routines.
"We had to address common concerns like medication safety during shipping, confirming that medications requiring temperature-controlled storage (such as insulin) are packaged appropriately," he says. But by anticipating and responding to key concerns, the program has taken off — and more and more, ArchWell Health members are enjoying the benefits.
Since launching the program, Man-Khoi has seen tremendous value in members using mail-order pharmacy for their maintenance medications.
The biggest benefits? Lower cost and greater convenience.
Cost
- Members have lower copays compared to what they might pay at a community or retail pharmacy. That's because mail-order pharmacies can often secure lower costs for prescription drugs, and members can get the most savings with generic medications.
- Some mail-order pharmacies provide a split copay program in which members pay high copays in installments, helping them pay for their prescriptions over time. Plus, Man-Khoi's pharmacy team will help members identify these savings.
Convenience
- Reduce trips to the pharmacy, saving time and energy.
- Eliminate the need to plan or pay for transportation to and from the pharmacy.
- Get medications delivered to your own home, mailbox or alternate pickup site (when available), which can be especially helpful for those with limited pharmacy access.
- With auto-refill service, there's no need to call and request refills when they're due, helping members stay on track with their medication.

As Man-Khoi leads with compassion, he remains committed to breaking down barriers in healthcare, ensuring that older adults have equitable access to supportive, high-quality care.
"I love that members are taking advantage of their prescription benefits by getting their medications in a more convenient and less costly way," says Man-Khoi.
"I believe our members deserve the best care possible."

When caring
changes
everything:
a member story
A retired human resources director, Wanda moved to Las Vegas in 2022 and has since built a lifestyle full of energy, wellness, and community.
Every morning at 6 a.m., Wanda heads to the gym — something she playfully calls "going to work." Thanks to encouragement from Sallye Stauber, DNP, she's found strength, stamina, and confidence through consistent exercise. "I exercise more, I sleep better, and I can do more with my body," she shares. That commitment has opened doors to activities she loves, like hiking, where she can now take on trails with strong legs and steady endurance.
Wanda's journey hasn't been without its challenges. She's had both hips replaced, but she hasn't let that slow her down. Instead, she continues to thrive, enjoying church, workshops, book club, and her favorite hikes near her neighborhood.
What makes ArchWell Health so meaningful to Wanda is the personal connection. "The staff are patient, kind, caring, and professional. I feel like my voice matters, and I'm heard," she says. She credits Sallye Stauber, DNP for treating her as more than just a patient: "She really listens to my concerns and cares about me as a person."
For Wanda, ArchWell Health has been about more than just physical health; it's also supported her mental well-being. By surrounding herself with people who care, she continues to stay motivated and inspired.

2025 grand openings

In Little Rock, where we launched three new centers, hometown pride took center stage.
Mayor Frank Scott addressed the crowd, emphasizing the importance of accessible, senior-focused care in the region. The Arkansas Travelers' (minor league baseball) mascot made a special appearance, and guests enjoyed activities, refreshments, and meaningful conversations with our care team.
In Denver, we opened four new centers, each giving us a fresh opportunity to connect with older adults in the area.
The events kicked off with our ArchWell Health colleagues dancing and welcoming guests as they arrived. To celebrate Colorado's vibrant culture, two local food trucks served street tacos and desserts, while swing dancers kept everyone dancing on their feet — or cheering from their seats.
In Montgomery, the day was all about community connection.
Stinger, Alabama State University's beloved mascot, energized the crowd. From heartfelt conversations to shared smiles, the day underscored our dedication to improving the health and the quality of life of older adults through care, respect, and lasting community partnerships.
Jacksonville's six center openings marked one of our largest rollouts of 2025 — expanding our reach in the Florida Gulf Coast.
JAX, the Jacksonville Jaguars' mascot, brought team spirit to the celebration. Guests enjoyed refreshments, activities, and the opportunity to connect with our care team while exploring the new centers.

Stronger together: community partnerships

OKC Laundry Love
Our partnership with Laundry Love helped them host their first-ever event in the Moore community at Moore Laundry.
This event brought together multiple community groups to offer free laundry, helping meet a critical need by supporting local families and individuals who face financial barriers to accessing coin-operated laundry services.
Dozens of residents were able to access laundry services that covered both washing and drying with detergent, dryer sheets, and bleach provided at no cost. In addition to clean clothes, attendees enjoyed a warm lunch, free pet food courtesy of Pet Food Pantry OKC, and children's books provided by Little Read Wagon. Each family also left with a fresh pair of socks for every member to add comfort and dignity to their daily lives. Together, we hosted four events in 2025.
Caregiving.com
ArchWell Health's partnership with Caregiving.com, a leading voice in the family caregiver resource and advocacy space, is expanding access to guidebooks and online tools for caregivers of older adults throughout the U.S.
The partnership launched a "Primary Care Library" in early 2025 so that caregivers and loved ones could easily access blogs and guides on topics like how to choose a doctor for your parent, questions to ask your loved ones primary care doctor, Medicare resources, disease and medication management tips and much more.
These resources are easily found at https://www.caregiving.com/collections/primary-care. In addition to the online library, ArchWell Health has placed physical library stands with Caregiving.com guidebooks in select locations throughout the U.S.
